Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 123

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 10, between lines 22 and 23, insert the following new subsection:

"C. Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 to conduct training for school bus contractors on safety issues, administrative procedures and methods for improving efficiency. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
