MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND POSITIONS FOR ELEMENTARY LEVEL DROP-OUT PREVENTION COUNSELORS IN THE SANTA FE PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of funding positions for elementary level drop-out prevention counselors in the Santa Fe public school district. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
