AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ESTABLISH A SOCIAL WORK TEAM TO PROVIDE SERVICES AT THE NEW MEXICO BOYS' SCHOOL AT SPRINGER.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 to establish and maintain a team of social workers at the New Mexico boys' school at Springer to provide assessment and counseling services for incarcerated youth who may need mental health services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
