0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR STATEWIDE HOMELESS PROGRAMS;

0012|     DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human
    |
0017|     services department for expenditure in fiscal year 1999 to
    |
0018|     contract with the New Mexico mortgage finance authority for
    |
0019|     homeless programs statewide.  Any unexpended or unencumbered
    |
0020|     balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert
    |
0021|     to the general fund.
    |
0022|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0023|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect
    |
0024|     immediately.
