FOR PORTABLE LANGUAGE LABORATORIES AT NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS
UNIVERSITY TO ADMINISTER THE NEW STATEWIDE BILINGUAL LANGUAGE
PROFICIENCY EXAMINATION.

     I request that the following capital outlay project be
funded:

                    to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands
          university:
          
                    two hundred forty-eight thousand five hundred dollars
          ($248,500) to purchase, install and equip five portable
          language laboratories at the center for the education
                                        - 1 -

          and study of diverse population at New Mexico highlands
          university in San Miguel county to administer the new
          statewide bilingual language proficiency examination.
