REAUTHORIZATION; CLARIFYING THE PURPOSE AND EXTENDING THE EXPENDITURE
PERIOD OF A GENERAL FUND APPROPRIATION FOR A SOUTHSIDE COMMUNITY CENTER IN
HOBBS IN LEA COUNTY.


     The balance of the general fund appropriation made pursuant to Subsection SSSSS of
Section 24 of Chapter 222 of Laws 1995 for a southside community center in Hobbs in Lea
county shall be expended to design, construct, furnish and equip a head start multipurpose
center in Lea county.  The period of time for expenditure of the appropriation is extended
through fiscal year 2000.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
