            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

                           REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN SENATE DISTRICT 23 IN ALBUQUERQUE IN
BERNALILLO COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be
funded:

                    to the local government division of the department of
          finance and administration:
          
          A.  one hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000) to
design and construct a paved trail in the Seven Bar area from
Hunter's Run park to Ellison in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;

          B.  one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for site
and facility improvements at La Boca Negra horse complex in
Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;

          C.  one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for phase
four improvements to Mariposa Basin park in Albuquerque in
Bernalillo county;

          D.  one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to plan,
design and construct Paradise Meadows park in Albuquerque in
Bernalillo county;

          E.  one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to design
and construct Richland Hills park in Albuquerque in Bernalillo
county; and

          F.  seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to renovate
Sierra Vista pool in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; and

                    to the state highway and transportation department:
     
          A.  two million dollars ($2,000,000) to widen and
correct vertical and horizontal alignment problems on Golf Course
road in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county; and

          B.  eight million eight hundred thousand dollars
($8,800,000) to construct four-lane roadways on Unser boulevard
from the Sandoval county line to McMahon and on McMahon from
Unser boulevard to Golf Course road in Albuquerque in Bernalillo
county.
