            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF JAL IN LEA COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

                    to the local government division of the department of finance and administration:

          A.  one hundred thirty-five thousand dollars ($135,000) to purchase a street
sweeper for the city of Jal in Lea county; and
          
          B.  thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) to make improvements to the Jal and
Cooper cemeteries in Lea county; and

                    to the state highway and transportation department:

                    three hundred seven thousand eight hundred dollars ($307,800) to make
          improvements to streets in the city of Jal in Lea county.
