                      STATE OF NEW MEXICO
            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

FOR CURRY COUNTY CAPITAL PROJECTS.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

                    to the state department of public education:
          
                    ninety-six thousand dollars ($96,000) to equip and furnish
          an academic learning laboratory for the Texico schools in
          Curry county;

                    to the state highway and transportation department:

          A.  seventy thousand dollars ($70,000) for street repairs
                                        - 1 -

in Texico in Curry county; and

          B.  four hundred fifty thousand dollars ($450,000) to chip
seal nine miles of county road 3 from county road A to county road J
in Curry county; and

                    to the local government division of the department of
          finance and administration:
     
                    one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to remodel
          the Texico fire station in Curry county.
