                           REQUESTED BY

TO CONSTRUCT OR RENOVATE HOMES OF VETERANS, GOLD STAR MOTHERS OR
VETERANS' WIDOWS.

     I request that the following capital outlay project be funded:

                    to the department of finance and administration:

                    eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) to provide funds to counties,
          municipalities and Indian nations, tribes or pueblos to construct or renovate
          homes of indigent New Mexico veterans, gold star mothers or veterans' widows. 
          This appropriation is contingent upon counties, municipalities or Indian nations
          tribes or pueblos providing matching funds or in-kind labor equal to or greater
          than the state expenditure for the project.
