                           REQUESTED BY

FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND EQUIPMENT PURCHASES IN EUNICE AND JAL IN LEA
COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

                    to the state highway and transportation department:
          
          A.  two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for improvements to city streets in
Jal in Lea county; and

          B.  two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for improvements to city streets in
Eunice in Lea county;

                    to the local government division of the department of finance and administration:
     
          A.  sixty-five thousand dollars ($65,000) to purchase a backhoe for Eunice in Lea
county; and

          B.  sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) to purchase a dump truck for Eunice in Lea
county.
