APPROPRIATIONS.-- | 0016| A. Five hundred eighteen thousand dollars | 0017| ($518,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the | 0018| department of health for expenditure in fiscal years 1998 and | 0019| 1999 to develop and implement an abstinence education program | 0020| pursuant to 42 USCA Section 710. Any unexpended or | 0021| unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 | 0022| shall revert to the general fund. | 0023| B. Five hundred eighteen thousand dollars | 0024| ($518,000), being the state's block grant allotment of federal | 0025| funds for the program identified in Subsection A of this | - 1 - 0001| section, is appropriated to the department of health for | 0002| expenditure in fiscal years 1998 and 1999 to develop and | 0003| implement the abstinence education program specified in | 0004| Subsection A of this section. | 0005| Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public | 0006| peace, health and safety that this act to take effect | 0007| immediately. | 0008|  |
