APPROPRIATION.-- | 0018| A. Five million five hundred thousand dollars | 0019| ($5,500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the | 0020| gaming control board for expenditure in fiscal year 1999 in | 0021| the following amounts and for the following purposes: | 0022| (1) two million dollars ($2,000,000) for | 0023| operational expenses of the gaming control board; and | 0024| (2) three million five hundred thousand | 0025| dollars ($3,500,000) for capital expenditures required to | - 1 - 0001| develop and implement a system of continuous computer | 0002| monitoring of licensed gaming machines mandated by the Gaming | 0003| Control Act. | 0004| B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance | 0005| remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the | 0006| general fund. | 0007| Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public | 0008| peace, health and safety that this act take effect | 0009| immediately. | 0010|  |
