            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

                           REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN SENATE DISTRICT 21 IN ALBUQUERQUE IN
BERNALILLO COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be
funded:

                    to the local government division of the department of
          finance and administration:
                    
          A.  two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to purchase
a bomb robot for the Albuquerque police department in Bernalillo
county; and
          B.  two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to purchase

infrared cameras for the Albuquerque fire department in
Bernalillo county;

                    to the state highway and transportation department:
     
                    fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for the installation
          of a street light in front of La Cueva high school on
          Alameda at Wyoming in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;
          and

                    to the board of regents of the university of New
          Mexico:
     
          A.  twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) for the
purchase of books at the library of the Anderson school of
business at the university of New Mexico in Albuquerque in
Bernalillo county; and

          B.  twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to purchase 
books for the university of New Mexico school of law library in
Albuquerque in Bernalillo county.
