STATE OF NEW MEXICO
43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998
REQUESTED BY
JOSEPH A. FIDEL
FOR SENATE DISTRICT 30 CAPITAL PROJECTS IN CIBOLA COUNTY.
I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:
to the department of environment:
A. six hundred sixty thousand dollars ($660,000) to complete the Bluewater
Acres water system in Cibola county; and
B. one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to design and construct the sewer
system expansion in Milan in Cibola county;
to the local government division of the department of finance and administration:

A. fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) to drill and equip a well for the cemetery
in Cubero in Cibola county;
B. fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to purchase, relocate, set up and carpet two
portable buildings for the head start program in Grants in Cibola county; and
C. thirty-two thousand dollars ($32,000) to resurface tennis courts at Paddy
Martinez park in Cibola county;
D. two hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($275,000) to design and
construct a recreation office building and storage space in Milan in Cibola county;
E. one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) to renovate the
municipal operations center in Milan in Cibola county;
F. one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to purchase replacement operations
vehicles in Milan in Cibola county; and
G. forty-five thousand dollars ($45,000) to purchase two police pursuit vehicles
in Milan in Cibola county;

to the state department of public education:
A. eighty-seven thousand dollars ($87,000) for construction, lighting, fencing,
concrete walk expansion and equipment for tennis courts at Grants high school in Cibola county;
and
B. thirty-two thousand dollars (32,000) for improvements to and resurfacing of
tennis courts at Los Alamitos middle school in Grants in Cibola county;
to the board of regents of New Mexico institute of mining and technology:
five million seven hundred thousand dollars ($5,700,000) to renovate, including
additions, Jones, Weir and Cramer halls.
