FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN SENATE DISTRICT 7.
I request that the following capital outlay project be funded:
to the office of cultural affairs:
one hundred thirty-five thousand dollars ($135,000) to replace a bookmobile
that operates out of Tucumcari and serves Chaves, Curry, Eddy, Guadalupe,
Harding, Lincoln, Quay and Roosevelt counties;
to the local government division of the department of finance and administration:
A. thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) to make improvements to the Quay county

detention center in Tumcumcari;
B. seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to purchase pipe for use in the
Antelope valley irrigation district near Springer in Colfax county;
C. three hundred eighty-five thousand dollars ($385,000) to purchase a fire
truck and equipment and supplies for the street department of the city of Tucumcari in Quay
county;
D. two hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($225,000) to purchase a class a
pumper fire truck for the Pleasant Hill fire department in Curry county;
E. one hundred four thousand four hundred dollars ($104,400) to construct an
addition to the village of Logan police station in Quay county;
F. fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to make improvements to the county
courthouse in Clayton in Union county;
G. two hundred thirty thousand dollars ($230,000) to purchase a rescue and
pumper truck for the Logan volunteer fire department in Quay county;
H. four hundred fifty-five thousand eight hundred eighty-two dollars ($455,882)
to design and construct a facility for flood relief in the city of Tucumcari in Quay county; and

I. seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to design, construct, equip and furnish
an addition to the community building in Roy in Harding county
to the state highway and transportation department:
A. one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to surface and improve three
miles of Curry road 17 in Curry county;
B. three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) to surface and improve New
Mexico state road 72 and U.S. highways 64 and 87 in the city of Raton in Colfax county; and
C. one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to make road improvements to
Quay road AF in Quay county;
to the state agency on aging:
A. three hundred forty-six thousand five hundred eighteen dollars ($346,518) to
purchase a metal building for and design, install, construct, furnish and equip the San Jon senior
citizen center in the village of San Jon in Quay county;
B. two hundred nine thousand four hundred ninety-five dollars ($209,495) to
construct, renovate, furnish and equip the Des Moines senior citizens center in Union county;
and
C. forty-five thousand thirty-one dollars ($45,031) to improve the Eagle Nest

senior citizens center in Colfax county;
to the state department of public education:
A. eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) to complete construction of the
first grade wing and access to second grade classrooms of a new elementary school in Tucumcari
in Quay county;
B. fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to make improvements in the Roy municipal
schools including the purchase of computer technology and vocational education shop
equipment in the village of Roy in Harding county;
C. two hundred forty-one thousand seven hundred dollars ($241,700) for
improvements to Maxwell school district in Maxwell in Colfax county;
D. ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to make improvements to the multipurpose
recreational facility of the House schools in Quay county;
E. five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to design, prepare the site and
construct improvements to Des Moines schools in Union county; and
F. eighty thousand dollars ($80,000) to replace lights at the Leon Williams
stadium at Clovis high school in Curry county;

to the department of environment:
A. six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) to design, construct and inspect
water and sewer system improvements in the village of Eagle Nest in Colfax county;
B. six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) to design, construct and inspect
water and sewer system improvements in the village of Angel Fire in Colfax county;
C. six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) to make improvements to the
landfill in the city of Clovis in Curry county;
D. three hundred fifty-eight thousand three hundred dollars ($358,300) to
design, construct and inspect water and sewer system improvements in the village of Cimarron
in Colfax county;
E. fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to design, construct and inspect water and
sewer system improvements in Solano in Harding county;
F. thirty-nine thousand dollars ($39,000) to pay the loan for the village of
Grady's water tank in Curry county;
G. two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to design, construct and
inspect water and sewer system improvements in the town of Springer in Colfax county; and

water system improvements in the town of Clayton in Union county.
