SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 83

            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

                           REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS AT PORTALES MUNICIPAL SCHOOLS IN ROOSEVELT COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

                    to the state department of public education:
          
          A.  two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for a science laboratory at Portales
high school in Roosevelt county;

          B.  seventeen thousand dollars ($17,000) for an overlay at the Lindsey middle
school playground in Roosevelt county;

          C.  eighty thousand dollars ($80,000) for lighting at the baseball field at Portales
<center>- 1 -</center>

high school in Roosevelt county; and

          D.  twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) for a track at Portales junior high school in
Roosevelt county.
