FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO RIATA ROAD IN OTERO COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be
funded:

                    to the state highway and transportation department:
          
          A.  three hundred fifty-seven thousand seven hundred
fifty dollars ($357,750) for planning, designing and construction
of drainage culverts at the La Luz canyon arroyo crossing and the
Laborcita arroyo crossing on Riata road in Otero county; and

          B.  one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000)

to install lights, gates, belts and make other improvements to an
existing crossing named Riata railroad crossing on Riata road
located one mile south of Tularosa in Otero county.
