                      STATE OF NEW MEXICO
            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN MESILLA IN DONA ANA COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be
funded:

                    to the local government division of the department of
          finance and administration:
          
          A.  one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to
plan and design a new building to house the town of Mesilla's
administrative offices in Dona Ana county;

          B.  sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) to install and

complete a parking lot in the historic downtown plaza area in
Mesilla in Dona Ana county; and

                    to the state highway and transportation department:
     
                    six hundred twenty thousand dollars ($620,000) for
          major road improvements to Snow road in the town of
          Mesilla in Dona Ana county.
