FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS AT ESPANOLA PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN RIO ARRIBA.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

                    to the state department of public education:
          
          A.  one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to upgrade fire alarms at
Alcalde, Fairview, San Juan, Chimayo and Mountain View schools in Espanola in Rio Arriba
county;

          B.  seventy thousand dollars ($70,000) to repair or replace roofs at San Juan
school and Espanola Valley high school in Rio Arriba county; and

          C.  two hundred thirty thousand dollars ($230,000) to remodel Espanola Valley
high school, Chimayo, Mountain View and Fairview schools to comply with the federal
Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 requirements.
