HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 61 
                                
                      STATE OF NEW MEXICO
            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE DEMING-LUNA SENIOR CITIZEN CENTER IN LUNA COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

                    to the state agency on aging:

          A.  six hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($625,000) to enlarge the pool
room lobby and activity area; construct new office area and meeting rooms; increase square
footage of kitchen; replace existing sewer line; add handicap accessible restrooms; resurface and
expand parking lot; and replace the craft room of the Deming-Luna senior citizen center in Luna
county;

          B.  three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) to construct a new adult day
<center>- 1 -</center>

care facility and new multipurpose and congregate dining room of the Deming-Luna senior
citizen center in Luna county; and

          C.  one hundred sixty-five thousand dollars ($165,000) to construct new activity
rooms at the Deming-Luna senior citizen center in Luna county.
