                      STATE OF NEW MEXICO
            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

                           REQUESTED BY
                       JAMES ROGER MADALENA            





FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS AT JEMEZ PUEBLO IN SANDOVAL COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

                    to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs:

          A.  seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) for planning, designing and
engineering plans for the construction of a Jemez pueblo office complex in Sandoval county;
and

          B.  two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for infrastructure for the Walatowa
cultural center at Jemez pueblo in Sandoval county;

                    to  the state highway and transportation department:

                    three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for a feasibility study to plan and
          design a Highway 4 bypass around Jemez pueblo in Sandoval county; and

                    to the state agency on aging:

                    four hundred fifty thousand dollars ($450,000) for phase one construction of the
          Jemez pueblo elderly center in Sandoval county.
