HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 32 
                                
                      STATE OF NEW MEXICO
            43RD LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION, 1998

                           REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN THE CITY OF ROSWELL IN CHAVES COUNTY.

     I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

                    to the local government division of the department of finance and administration:
     
          A.  two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to demolish old buildings and
construct a new central park plaza area with landscaping and parking in Roswell in Chaves
county;

          B.  three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for improvements to city
buildings to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 in Roswell in Chaves
county; and

          C.  two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for phase two construction of the
Roswell museum and art center's south entrance pavilion project in Chaves county; and

                    to the state highway and transportation department:
     
                    five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for street and drainage improvements at
          Atkinson avenue from Mescalero road to Berrendo road in Roswell in Chaves county.
