0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE

0012|     ALBUQUERQUE TECHNICAL-VOCATIONAL INSTITUTE TO CONTRACT FOR A

0013|     STUDY TO DETERMINE THE FEASIBILITY OF DEVELOPING A JOINT

0014|     AVIATION TRAINING CENTER AT ALBUQUERQUE INTERNATIONAL SUNPORT

0015|     IN ALBUQUERQUE.

0017|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0018|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
    |
0019|     ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0020|     governing board of the Albuquerque technical-vocational
    |
0021|     institute for expenditure in fiscal year 1999 for the purpose
    |
0022|     of contracting for a study to determine the feasibility of
    |
0023|     developing a joint aviation training center at the Albuquerque
    |
0024|     international sunport.  The study shall assess the current and
    |
0025|     potential capability of the Albuquerque international sunport
    |

0001|     to operate a joint aviation training center, identify and
    |
0002|     develop a growth strategy for the training center and
    |
0003|     determine the equipment and facility requirements that will be
    |
0004|     necessary to operate a viable and competitive training center. 
    |
0005|     Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0006|     fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
