0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR OPERATING EXPENSES FOR TORRANCE
    |
0012|     COUNTY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Seven hundred thousand
    |
0016|     dollars ($700,000) is appropriated from the general fund to
    |
0017|     the local government division of the department of finance and
    |
0018|     administration for expenditure in fiscal years 1998 and 1999
    |
0019|     for the purpose of providing operating expenses to Torrance
    |
0020|     county.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0021|     the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0022|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0023|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect
    |
0024|     immediately.
