0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A YEAR-LONG MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state
    |
0017|     department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0018|     1999 for the purpose of funding a year-long youth mentorship
    |
0019|     program in Albuquerque that allows students to participate in
    |
0020|     the arts, sciences and humanities.  Any unexpended or
    |
0021|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999
    |
0022|     shall revert to the general fund.
