      Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
  
                           SENATE BILL 89
  
  has had it under consideration and reports same with
  recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
      1.  On page 1, lines 16 and 17, strike "Nine hundred seventy-
  five thousand dollars ($975,000)" and insert in lieu thereof "Two
  hundred sixty-one thousand dollars ($261,000)".
  
      2.  On page 1, line 19, strike "fiscal years 1999 through
  2002" and insert in lieu thereof "fiscal year 1999".
  
      3.  On page 1, line 24, strike "2002" and insert in lieu
  thereof "1999".,
  
  and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
