0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS

0012|     WHO ARE MEMBERS OF THE NEW MEXICO ARMY NATIONAL GUARD OR THE

0013|     NEW MEXICO AIR NATIONAL GUARD.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Nine hundred seventy-five
    |
0017|     thousand dollars ($975,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0018|     fund to the department of military affairs for expenditure in
    |
0019|     fiscal years 1999 through 2002 for the purpose of granting
    |
0020|     tuition scholarships to students who are residents of New
    |
0021|     Mexico and who are active members of the New Mexico army
    |
0022|     national guard or the New Mexico air national guard.  Any
    |
0023|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0024|     fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
