0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO IMPLEMENT TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT

0012|     PRINCIPLES IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred forty thousand
    |
0016|     dollars ($340,000) is appropriated from the general fund to
    |
0017|     the state department of public education for expenditure in
    |
0018|     fiscal year 1999 for the purpose of contracting for the
    |
0019|     services of a community-based organization representing
    |
0020|     business, education and state government to implement total
    |
0021|     quality management principles in selected public schools
    |
0022|     throughout the state.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0023|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the
    |
0024|     general fund.
