0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR CANCER PATIENT SUPPORT SERVICES IN

0012|     BERNALILLO AND SANDOVAL COUNTIES.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0017|     department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 1999 to
    |
0018|     provide or contract for comprehensive community-based cancer
    |
0019|     patient support services in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties,
    |
0020|     including education, one-on-one matching with cancer veterans,
    |
0021|     survivorship mentoring, patient library services and an annual
    |
0022|     conference.  Services shall be available to cancer patients
    |
0023|     suffering any type of cancer.  Any unexpended or unencumbered
    |
0024|     balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert
    |
0025|     to the general fund.
