APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand | 0017| dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to | 0018| the state department of public education for expenditure in | 0019| fiscal year 1999 for the purpose of establishing a statewide | 0020| basic math and science program for grades kindergarten through | 0021| eighth, related to the study of New Mexico's history, culture | 0022| and natural resources. The program shall be administered by | 0023| eastern New Mexico university. Any unexpended or unencumbered | 0024| balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert | 0025| to the general fund. |
