0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ESTABLISH A DEDICATED FUSION ENERGY

0012|     LABORATORY AT NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thirty thousand
    |
0016|     dollars ($230,000) is appropriated from the general fund to
    |
0017|     the board of regents of New Mexico state university for
    |
0018|     expenditure in fiscal year 1999 to enable the college of
    |
0019|     engineering to conduct research and other activities related
    |
0020|     to the acquisition of federal funds for the establishment of a
    |
0021|     dedicated fusion energy laboratory.  Any unexpended or
    |
0022|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999
    |
0023|     shall revert to the general fund.
