0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PUBLIC DEFENDER DEPARTMENT FOR

0012|     FOUR ADDITIONAL FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES IN THE THIRD JUDICIAL

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand
    |
0017|     dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to
    |
0018|     the public defender department for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0019|     1999 for the purpose of paying salaries and benefits and
    |
0020|     providing furniture, equipment and supplies for four
    |
0021|     additional full-time employees in the third judicial district. 
    |
0022|     Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0023|     fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
