       Your APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom
  has been referred
  
                        HOUSE BILL 464
                               
  has had it under consideration and reports same with
  recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
       1.   On page 1, line 12, before the period, insert "; MAKING AN
  APPROPRIATION".
       
        2.  On page 1, line 25, insert the following new section: 
                 
       "Section 2.  APPROPRIATION.--Forty-six thousand two hundred dollars
  ($46,200) is appropriated from the general fund to the administrative
  office of the district attorneys for expenditure in fiscal year 1999 for
  the purpose of funding the salary increases for district attorneys."
