0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015|          Section 1.  A new section 67-3-16.1 NMSA 1978 is enacted

0016|     to read:

0017|          "67-3-16.1  [<u>NEW MATERIAL</u>] TRANSFER OF ROADS TO
    |
0018|     COUNTIES--MAINTENANCE COSTS FROM THE STATE.--Any public road
    |
0019|     or highway transferred to county ownership or control shall be
    |
0020|     accompanied by annual distributions from the state road fund
    |
0021|     to the county in amounts required to maintain the public road
    |
0022|     or highway that was transferred."
