Your CONSUMER AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom
has been referred
HOUSE BILL 370
has had it under consideration and reports same with
recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 45, line 6, after "conditions" insert ",
including cost sharing, limits on numbers of visits or days of
coverage and requirements relating to medical necessity,".
2. On page 55, line 7, after "B.", strike "A" and insert
in lieu thereof "Notwithstanding the provisions of Subsection
A of this section:
(1) a".
3. On page 55, line 13, strike the period, insert in
lieu thereof a semicolon and the following new paragraphs:
"(2) a pool policyholder shall be eligible for
renewal of pool coverage even though the policyholder became
eligible for medicare or medicaid coverage while covered under
a pool policy; and
(3) if a pool policy holder becomes eligible
for any group health plan, the policyholder's pool coverage
shall not be involuntarily terminated until any pre-existing
condition period imposed on the policyholder by the plan has
been exhausted.".,
and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
