0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO STUDY THE FEASIBILITY OF CREATING A

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Fifty-five thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($55,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New
    |
0018|     Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0019|     1999 for the purpose of studying the feasibility of creating a
    |
0020|     federal investment corporation that is similar to the federal
    |
0021|     overseas private investment corporation that will insure
    |
0022|     investments made on Indian land.  Any unexpended or
    |
0023|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999
    |
0024|     shall revert to the general fund.
