0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR MULTICULTURAL AWARENESS AND

0012|     DIVERSITY TRAINING TO TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand
    |
0016|     dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to
    |
0017|     the community college board of Santa Fe community college for
    |
0018|     expenditure in fiscal year 1999 for the purpose of expanding
    |
0019|     services to the Santa Fe public schools by providing
    |
0020|     multicultural awareness and diversity training to teachers and
    |
0021|     administrators to deal more effectively with the continuing
    |
0022|     presence of racism and other prejudices.  Any unexpended or
    |
0023|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999
    |
0024|     shall revert to the general fund.
