0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ACEQUIA AND COMMUNITY DITCH

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred fifty thousand
    |
0016|     dollars ($850,000) is appropriated from the general fund to
    |
0017|     the acequia and community ditch fund for expenditure in fiscal
    |
0018|     year 1999 for the purpose of providing assistance to acequia
    |
0019|     and community ditch associations involved in the adjudication
    |
0020|     process.  No more than five percent of the appropriation may
    |
0021|     be expended by the New Mexico department of agriculture for
    |
0022|     administrative costs incurred in the administration of the
    |
0023|     fund.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the
    |
0024|     end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
