0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0017|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board
    |
0019|     of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in
    |
0020|     fiscal year 1999 for the purpose of the New Mexico department
    |
0021|     of agriculture conducting a study of the feasibility of
    |
0022|     growing industrial hemp as a commercial crop.  Any unexpended
    |
0023|     or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year
    |
0024|     1999 shall revert to the general fund.
