0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE

0012|     UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR THE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

0013|     MINORITY ENGINEERING PROGRAM, WHICH PROVIDES ACADEMIC SUPPORT

0014|     SERVICES TO MINORITY UNDERGRADUATES MAJORING IN ENGINEERING,

0015|     MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE.

0017|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0018|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand
    |
0019|     dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to
    |
0020|     the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for
    |
0021|     expenditure in fiscal year 1999 for the purpose of funding the
    |
0022|     school of engineering minority engineering program, which
    |
0023|     provides academic support services to minority undergraduates
    |
0024|     majoring in engineering, mathematics and science.  Any
    |
0025|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
