0012|     RELATING TO FIREARMS; PROHIBITING ACCEPTANCE OF FEDERAL FUNDS

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|          Section 1.  PROHIBITION OF PARTICIPATION IN FIREARMS
    |
0018|     REGISTRATION DATABASE.--No state agency, board or institution
    |
0019|     and no political subdivision of the state or a subdivision's
    |
0020|     agencies, boards or institutions shall accept grants or loans
    |
0021|     of federal funds that are conditioned upon the state or local
    |
0022|     entity's participation in creation or maintenance of a
    |
0023|     national firearm registration database.
    |
0024|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0025|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect
    |
