0011| MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE OPERATIONAL EXPENSES OF EXTENDED

0012| LEARNING PROGRAMS AND EXTENDED LEARNING LIBRARY SERVICES

0015| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
|
0016| Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS.--
|
0017| A. The following amounts are appropriated from the
|
0018| general fund to the respective agencies for expenditure in
|
0019| fiscal year 1999 for the following purposes:
|
0020| (1) one hundred fifty-seven thousand eight
|
0021| hundred twenty dollars ($157,820) to the board of regents of
|
0022| northern New Mexico state school to operate the extended
|
0023| learning network in northern New Mexico;
|
0024| (2) two hundred fifteen thousand thirty-nine
|
0025| dollars ($215,039) to the board of regents of western New
|

0001| Mexico university to operate extended learning facilities and
|
0002| services in Catron, Grant, Hidalgo, Luna and Sierra counties;
|
0003| (3) one hundred forty-one thousand four
|
0004| hundred seventy dollars ($141,470) to the board of regents of
|
0005| New Mexico state university to operate the university's
|
0006| extended learning facilities in Otero county;
|
0007| (4) two hundred fifty-four thousand eight
|
0008| hundred fifty dollars ($254,850) to the board of regents of
|
0009| the university of New Mexico to purchase statewide electronic
|
0010| library equipment and materials to support extended learning
|
0011| resources and facilities for the members of the New Mexico
|
0012| consortium of academic libraries; and
|
0013| (5) thirty-seven thousand six hundred forty
|
0014| dollars ($37,640) to the board of regents of New Mexico state
|
0015| university to purchase and install equipment for and provide
|
0016| extended learning courses to the Navajo nation for the masters
|
0017| in social work program in McKinley and San Juan counties.
|
0018| B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
|
0019| remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the
|
0020| general fund.
