0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND THE NATIONAL STATUARY HALL

0012|     COMMISSION AND PROJECT.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--
    |
0016|               A.  One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is
    |
0017|     appropriated from the general fund to the office of cultural
    |
0018|     affairs for expenditure in fiscal years 1999 through 2001 in
    |
0019|     the following amounts for the following purposes:
    |
0020|                    (1)  forty thousand dollars ($40,000) for the
    |
0021|     operational expenses of the national statuary hall commission;
    |
0022|     and
    |
0023|                    (2)  sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) to
    |
0024|     initiate the process of choosing an artist and creating a
    |
0025|     statue to be placed in the national statuary hall of congress.

0001|               B.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0002|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the
    |
0003|     general fund.
