AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO PAY FOR THE OPERATING EXPENSES OF THE CORINNE WOLFE CHILDREN'S LAW CENTER, WHICH WILL OPERATE WITHIN THE INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC LAW OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO SCHOOL OF LAW.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 1999 for the purpose of paying for the operating expenses of the Corinne Wolfe children's law center, which will operate within the institute of public law of the university of New Mexico school of law. The appropriation shall be used to pay for salaries and benefits for a director, a staff attorney and administrative support staff and to pay for costs incurred in developing and delivering training to and resource materials for judges and attorneys. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
