0019|     RELATING TO THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE;

0020|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE OFFICE OF THE NATURAL RESOURCES

0021|     TRUSTEE FOR NATURAL RESOURCE ASSESSMENT AND RESTORATION.

0023|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0024|         Section 1.  APPROPRIATION--Six hundred thousand dollars
    |
0025|     ($600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the natural
    |
0001|     resources trustee fund for expenditure in fiscal year 1998 for
    |
0002|     the purpose of hiring contractors to perform natural resource
    |
0003|     damage assessment and restoration work at sites in Bernalillo
    |
0004|     county, Dona Ana county, Chaves county or at other contaminated
    |
0005|     sites.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the
    |
0006|     end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
