0011|     RELATING TO GROSS RECEIPTS TAXES; ENACTING A NEW SECTION OF THE

0012|     NMSA 1978 PERTAINING TO EXEMPTION FOR POLLUTION CONTROL

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|          Section 1.  A new section of the Gross Receipts and
    |
0017|     Compensating Tax Act is enacted to read:
    |
0018|          "7-9-22.2.  [<u>NEW MATERIAL</u>]  EXEMPTION--POLLUTION CONTROL
    |
0019|     EQUIPMENT.--Exempted from the gross receipts tax are the
    |
0020|     receipts from selling pollution control equipment required to
    |
0021|     meet air and water quality standards of a state or federal
    |
0022|     agency authorized to regulate and set air and water quality
    |
0023|     emission standards; excepted are pollution control equipment
    |
0024|     for motor vehicles or aircraft required to be licensed by the
    |
0025|     laws of this state, without regard to the use to which the
    |
0001|     motor vehicles or aircraft are put."
