0011|     MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO INCREASE FUNDING FOR THE TOURISM
    |
0012|     DEPARTMENT.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATIONS.--
    |
0016|               A.  The following amounts are appropriated from the
    |
0017|     general fund to the tourism department for expenditure in
    |
0018|     fiscal year 1998, unless otherwise provided, for the following
    |
0019|     purposes:
    |
0020|                    (1)  one million five hundred thousand dollars
    |
0021|     ($1,500,000) for state advertising and marketing;
    |
0022|                    (2)  eight hundred forty thousand dollars
    |
0023|     ($840,000) for cooperative advertising;
    |
0024|                    (3)  three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000)
    |
0025|     to reestablish the regional marketing program;
    |
0001|                    (4)  eighty thousand dollars ($80,000) to
    |
0002|     supplement the fiscal years 1997 and 1998 budgets for
    |
0003|     international marketing; and
    |
0004|                    (5)  five hundred eighty thousand dollars
    |
0005|     ($580,000) to expand and improve the department's tourism
    |
0006|     fulfillment program.
    |
0007|               B.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining
    |
0008|     at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general
    |
0009|     fund.
