0011| RELATING TO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES; CREATING JOB OPPORTUNITIES;

0012| ALLOWING MINORS NINETEEN YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO SERVE

0013| ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN RESTAURANTS AND CLUBS.

0015| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016| Section 1. PURPOSE OF ACT.-- The purpose of this act is
|
0017| to create job opportunities for the citizens of New Mexico.
|
0018| Section 2. Section 60-7B-11 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1981,
|
0019| Chapter 39, Section 91, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0020| "60-7B-11. EMPLOYMENT OF MINORS.--
|
0021| A. Except as provided in Subsection B of this
|
0022| section, it [shall be] is a violation of the Liquor
|
0023| Control Act for any person licensed pursuant to the provisions
|
0024| of the Liquor Control Act or for any employee, agent or lessee
|
0025| of that person knowingly to employ or use the service of any
|
0001| minor in the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
|
0002| B. A person holding a dispenser's, restaurant or
|
0003| club license may employ persons nineteen years of age or older
|
0004| to serve alcoholic beverages that will be consumed with meals
|
0005| on the premises."
