0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR AN AFRICAN-AMERICAN CULTURAL,

0012|     TECHNOLOGICAL AND SCIENTIFIC OLYMPICS.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-three thousand two
    |
0016|     hundred dollars ($23,200) is appropriated from the general fund
    |
0017|     to the state department of public education for expenditure in
    |
0018|     fiscal year 1998 for the purpose of operating an African-
    |
0019|     American cultural, technological and scientific Olympics for
    |
0020|     students in grades nine through twelve.  Any unexpended or
    |
0021|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998
    |
0022|     shall revert to the general fund.
